Iowa Raptors are BACK!! With a New Mission this time around

Attention all Raptors fans, supporters, followers, competitors, and proud Cedar Rapids natives!

We want to sincerely apologize for our silence over the past year. It was a tough decision, but due to several unforeseen challenges, we had to temporarily suspend operations for both our youth and senior teams.

When the Iowa Raptors were founded, our mission was clear: to create a pathway for young athletes, guiding them from youth sports to college scholarships and eventually back home to semi-professional or professional play. After taking the time to reassess our strategy, we are excited to announce a new direction for the organization.

Moving forward, the Iowa Raptors will focus exclusively on being a semi-professional adult organization, dedicated to bridging the gap for players aspiring to go professional. We aim to inspire the youth of our community, providing them with role models and a competitive level to strive for. We’re thrilled to announce that we will be launching a Men’s Indoor Team for the upcoming 25/26 season at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse! Additionally, we’re considering hosting a women’s exhibition game to gauge interest in establishing a women’s indoor team in the following season.

We can't wait to see all of you this winter as we make our comeback and aim for the league championship!
